Vintage Windows to the World Matchbox
Vintage matchbox from the Windows on the World on top of the World Trade Center. There are 4 matchboxes available, 2 unused and 2 lightly used (one small scuff on each striker strip).
The front of the matchbox reads the Windows on the World name against a gold sunrise. The back lists the dining establishments at Windows on the World, including The Restaurant, The Cellar in the Sky, The City Lights Bar, Hors D'oeuvrerie and The Statue of Liberty Lounge as well as the contact information for the restaurant. Inside, the matches are white tipped.
Windows on the World occupied 50,000 square feet of space in the North Tower at the World Trade Center upon its opening in 1976 to its end in 2001, when it was destroyed in the September 11 attacks.
