  • Vintage Dangerfield's Ashtray and Matchbook

    Vintage ashtray and matchbook from Dangerfield's comedy club in New York City, sold seperately. 

     

    The ashtray is made of a heavy black glass, can hold 3 cigarettes at once and reads the club's name 3 times. Overall, it is in good vintage condition with no visible cracks or chips. There is one small scratch on the top rim (see photos). It measures 4 inches in diameter x 1 inch tall.

     

    The matchbook is unused, with its full set of matches and clean striker strip. The front of the matchbook feature's the Dangerfield's club name and address. It also boasts "entertainment nightly." The back of the matchbook shows an illustration of Rodney Dangerfield's face as well as his famous line "I don't get no respect."

     

    Dangerfield's was a New York City comedy club started by Rodney Dangerfield that opened in 1969. It is a club where only headliners performed, with no amateur or open mic nights. Performers have included Jay Leno, Tim Allen, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Jim Carrey and many more.
